Harley’s leave people stranded on the side of the road”. So I learned to hate Harley and never questioned it. I knew that Japanese bikes were cheaper and far superior. Until I rented a cheap Harley 500 in Vegas so I could ride through the desert (the 500 is truly a poor motorcycle), but when I was done with my ride and returned the 500, I walked into the showroom and saw a 2019 Harley Breakout for the first time. I fell in love with the looks. And then I sat on it, and felt a deep desire to know this machine better. A year later, back home in New England, I finally had a chance to ride a real Harley. And this is what I learned.
